We woke up this morning and headed down to Plymouth Rock first thing...
before heading into the outskirts of Boston to Quincy to visit the birthplaces of both John Adams and John Quincy Adams...
as well as their family home where 4 generations of the Adams family lived...
We ate a quick lunch and from there, hopped on the T to travel to Brookline to visit the birthplace of John F. Kennedy...
Where we were able to see the room that he was born in...
and the room where he spent the first few years of his life!
I especially loved the monograms found on both the towels in the bathroom and the bedspread in the guest bedroom...
The rangers were all so nice and even let B help retire the flag...
We then enjoyed dinner at the former Bull and Finch Pub, the inspiration for the television show, Cheers!
After dinner, we headed back to our car in Quincy...
B was thrilled when one of the T workers gave him his own "Charlie Card"...
Hubby once played the song, "M.T.A." by the Kingston Trio for the little one a couple of years ago...
and B has loved it ever since ~ he was really hoping to see old "Charlie" in person... :)
On the way out of town, we made one last stop at the birthplace of George H. W. Bush...
which is still a private residence, and is understandably fairly hidden by trees!
