Though we were a bit delayed in our arrival to Roatan...
the largest of the Bay Islands of Honduras, we docked at Mahogany Bay around lunchtime...
and met our tour group to head out to Gumbalimba Park...
where we saw the beach...
iguanas...
a bird of paradise...
and a bomb tree...
before crossing a swinging wooden bridge...
where we saw macaws...

Lastly, we saw a kapok tree...
When we returned from the park, we did a little shopping...

and Hubby took the kids to the beach...
where they had a good bit of fun...
Grandma and I did a little sightseeing on the dock where we could see the magical flying chair system (a ski lift that goes to the beach and back)...
Afterwards, I took the flying chair over to the beach solo...
to meet back up with Hubby and the kids to spend the rest of the afternoon on the beach...
where we saw just a little reminder of home...
before "flying" back to the main shopping area at the port...
as the sun was setting...
