{Road Trip} Day Three - A Prime Time in Kansas City

We spent most of today in Kansas City with our first stop being the home of the Kansas City Chiefs (again)...

or, where Taylor Swift watches her boyfriend play football... 

From there, we made a stop at a brand new museum that just opened a couple months ago...

The Rabbit hOle celebrates children's literature by bringing stories to life in a fully immersive way. It was an awesome stop...

The last exhibit, near the bookstore gift shop, was a full size "great green room" from the classic children's book, Goodnight Moon...

It was incredible, and we truly felt as if we'd stepped into the pages of the book!

From there...

we grabbed an early lunch at Bucca di Beppo...

and did a little shopping before making a few fun stops...

B has been wanting to visit a Raising Cane's forever, and when I say forever, I mean FOREVER...

and while yes, he had just eaten, currently he is a bottomless pit, so there's always room for more...

and today, his dream came true...

Believe it or not, by then, it was about time for our early dinner plans at Prime Social...

We mainly enjoyed a few appetizers and the view!

It was a great way to bid farewell to Kansas City...

before kicking off the first of three long driving leg over the next couple of days...

{Road Trip} Day Two - CITY Fun in St. Louis!

This morning, a few of us got up to go on a run, while the rest of us took it a little easy...

before heading over to City Museum for a repeat visit...

It is truly the most unique place. Housed in an old shoe warehouse with exhibits built from reclaimed items, it is truly the coolest...

We last visited back in 2019, and our kids have wanted to go back ever since! 

We spent a bit of time on the first and second floors...

before heading up to the rooftop...

where we just had to recreate this "family pic" from our last visit!

After some time on the roof, we went back inside, and here are some of my favorites...

We spent some time in another outdoor space...

before heading to do a little shopping...

On the way, we happened upon what looked like the Blue Angels rehearsing for their air show...

We continued on to Kansas City for the night (and yes, we're those parents - see song choice)...

where the boys made it to a Kansas City Royals game..

Before they left, they snagged a picture next door at the home of the Kansas City Chiefs...
