So excited to be back in London after SEVEN years...
Read about our last trip
here...
This time, we landed around 8:30 in the morning and hit the ground running. We met up with our driver after a bit of a delay and headed to our hotel to drop our bags and grab lunch. While Grandma stayed behind to wait on her room, Hubby, the kids, and I headed over to The White Hart to grab lunch...

I jumped right into the British scene and ordered the buttered leeks, cabbage & peas. They were delicious!

After checking in to make certain Grandma was settled, we booked it to our tour of the Elizabeth Tower (that houses the famous Big Ben)...
Unfortunately, NO PHOTOS were allowed, BUT all I can say is that it was INCREDIBLE! We ultimately climbed up 334 steps to reach the belfry, and it was timed just right so that we were literally staring at the Big Ben bell as it chimed 3:00pm! From there, we started back down and made a stop behind the clock faces ~ BEHIND THE CLOCK FACES ~ it was unbelievable! BOOK this tour if you're heading to London... JUST DO IT!
Here's a pic of the kids after we'd climbed back down. They're pushing hard through nearly a 30-hour day at this point, and we weren't done yet!
Here we are still in awe that we were up in that belfry just under an hour ago!
After our tour, we went back to the hotel to collect our bags, check into our second room, freshen up, and see if Grandma wanted to join us for dinner. She was smart and decided to rest, while we continued on to dinner and a show! First, we made a stop at
Circolo Poplare for dinner...
and, it was sooo good!
It was so delicious, that we booked it for when we return in a couple of weeks!
It was just awesome, and I predict that it will hit
Broadway in the near future!
Grandma was smart and went to sleep, but I'm grateful that my family indulged me and powered through our (in the end) 36-hour day!
{anyone else singing some ABBA???}
We're planning to take it a little easier tomorrow!
