{Road Trip} Day Ten - A Day at the Burning Bush...Errr, I Mean the Joshua Tree(s)

Oh my word...it was sooo hot today! 

We made a stop in Joshua Tree National Park...

where we saw, dare I say "cute", cacti...

big, cool rocks...

and of course, joshua trees!

We left the park, and grabbed a late lunch at Del Taco (again)...

before bidding farewell to California!

Once in Arizona, we did make one nostalgic stop...

from the last time we were in the area!

Making one last "desert" stop tomorrow!

{Road Trip} Day Nine - Heading South and Then East

This morning, we woke up in San Diego...

and headed over the bridge...

to Coronado...

where the weather was PERFECT!

We walked the beach...

and grabbed some lunch...

to eat on the beach...

before doing a little shopping inside the Hotel del Coronado...

and grabbing some ice cream!

before heading east...

into the desert...

We had some relief with the driving...

but not so much with the temps!

We did feel a bit like Lightning McQueen on his new road, though!

 

We made a stop in Palm Springs...

and found the famous pink door!

and then did a little more shopping, too, as the girls were super excited to find a Lululemon OUTLET!

When in California, Del Taco for dinner...

Leaving California tomorrow!
