{EUROPE} Day Twenty - HOME!

This morning we got up early, caught our ride to the airport...

and got there in plenty of time to mail a few postcards...

and rest before boarding our flight.

What an incredible trip thanks to Grandma! It's so wonderful to go off and explore, but it's always so good to come home!

{EUROPE} Day Nineteen - London Day 5

 On our last full day, and kind of as a Father's Day gift to Hubby, we decided to visit all things TED LASSO! First, we headed out to Selhurst Park...

home to Crystal Palace Football Club...

and where some game scenes are filmed.

After stopping by the team store, we caught the train out to Richmond!

We had fun ON the train...

because we ended up riding with a lot of fancy people heading to the Royal Ascot, as our Richmond stop was just a couple ahead of the stop for Windsor!

  We first stopped for lunch at The Prince's Head where exterior scenes are shot for the show...

The English pea ravioli was so good!

It seems they've finally embraced the attention that's come because of the show!

After lunch, we headed down the nearby alley and stopped at The Official Ted Lasso Store...

before continuing on down to where...

the exterior scenes of Ted's flat are filmed...

We went back to the charming square...

before booking it back to London to make one last stop before dinner.

On my list was to stop at the ever charming Daunt Books, and we made it!

Daunt Books is dubbed a bookstore for travelers with books organized by parts of the world, and it is a must stop for booklovers!

From there, we headed back to the hotel to grab Grandma and went out for one last meal, back at the delicious Circolo Popolare...

where we'd eaten on the front end of our trip!

It got a little tricky after dinner as we were splitting up for shows, our phones were dead or close to it, and we needed to get Grandma back to the hotel.

The girls and I headed off to see THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA (again) ~ YES, it was that good, but actually long story, short... We didn't realize it until we got to the show, but we MISSED Vanessa Williams the first go 'round, as she was on holiday!

Hubby and B took Grandma back to the hotel and then went to see THE GREAT GATSBY with Corbin Bleu at the London Coliseum, and they said it was fantastic!

We really got to know London pretty well this trip and walked all over the city. Since our shows got out at different times and at different theatres, we made our way back to the hotel separately. Hubby and B arrived a bit before the girls and me, but we passed one of their favorite restaurants and had to snag a pic...

We also took a few more last ones with Big Ben...

So long, London...

Gosh, we really love you, and feel right at home!

{EUROPE} Day Eighteen - London Day 4

 We arrived back in Southampton early this morning and were able to get off the ship fairly early. Our driver picked us up (some of us still groggy)...

and we headed back to London. Our driver dropped us off at our hotel where we were able to store out luggage before heading out to grab some lunch. We went back to The Hercules...

where we'd eaten on the front end of our trip.

After lunch, Grandma went back to the hotel to check in and get settled while the rest of us went off exploring. We wanted to grab some more photos in front of the Parliament buildings...

 

and walk around the Trafalgar Square...

and Covent Garden areas. Trafalgar Square is currently under renovation/construction, so it isn't quite as picturesque as in the past.

We ended up at Dishoom...

for our dinner reservations...

and it was everything and more...

We left with full tummies, a coveted matka token keychain...

and gratefulness for our reservations!

As we headed to our next stop, we passed Brown's and just had to grab a pic!

Our last planned event of the night was another show...

CLUELESS at the Trafalgar Theatre...

and, it was so good!
