{Road Trip} Day Fourteen - Hello, Seattle!

I can't really pinpoint why, but I've always wanted to go to Seattle, and I can't even explain how good it felt to get there today...

Crossing the border into Washington and being, in a sense, home, was wonderful... Seriously, I never thought Seattle would feel so close to home! Perspective, I guess...

Convincing our hotel to let us in our room early, was just amazing...

After much needed showers x 5, we headed out to grab lunch and explore Seattle!

First stop was Chihuly Garden and Glass...

L, especially, has loved Chihuly stuff for awhile...

We all loved his piece in the Children's Museum Indianapolis, and L LOVED the ceiling at the Bellagio in Las Vegas...

We even have a Dale Chihuly piece in Greenville!

So, this stop in Seattle was a must...

We could've stayed there forever...

We especially loved the room of chandeliers...

and the outdoor garden area was gorgeous...

From there, we took the much anticipated ride to the top of the Space Needle!

{I spy The Jetsons - and bonus, the kids know who they are, now!}

One of the things we love to do on road trips is find fun, new playgrounds...

This one, right by the Space Needle, was awesome...

Fun times...

After burning up some energy, we took the monorail downtown and walked down to the famous Pike Place Market...

We found the gum wall... The kids had been waiting for this all day...

Pretty gross, right?

As I see it, they are now either going to succumb to some nasty disease tomorrow, or live forever because of their diehard immune systems that we're building over here...

But seriously, after scrubbing off a layer of skin in the restroom, we grabbed dinner at The Pike Pub...
